Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a quiet area of Montreal Island called West Island. People unfamiliar with the term often think that it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal however, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from Lachine west to the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, this isn't the truth. Brugel became an aspiring young lady within Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. She aspired to be a professional dancer but due to a rapid expansion, she surpassed all of her dancing partners. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 foot 1 inches tall. The moment I outgrew any male partner and stopped dancing, I quit. Bruce was among the former dancers that turned into acting. The teacher she had at high school encouraged her to take the next step. Her teacher invited her to take part in an audition in her school's production. It was her choice to take on the main part in Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. It led to an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000. In the 20+ years since Brugel has been offered roles in over 60 shows on both small and large screens, attracting the greatest media attention after she was offered the part of Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was only seen on a few instances in the initial season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. She was the sole Canadian actor.
